As much as people hate it, I think he stuff has aged well.
Or I’m just weird. I’d be all over the M6 of that gen.

I...actually agree, to a point. The E63 6 coupe, E92 3 coupe, and E85 Z4 (both coupe and roadster but especially the M roadster & all coupes) are all solid. The E92 I’m biased of course but nothing that’s come after it looks as good.
The E65 7-Series will never be good. The E60 5-Series is just ok. I don’t think it deserves the hate it gets and can look good when done up with the sporty bits. The E90 3 sedan is a bit better but not quite beautiful.

I really really like these. But the horror stories, even from t he 640 and 650 variants are enough to keep them out of my drive way. Passed on a 650 manual because it was making weird noises. Shame, low mileage, clean, and priced in my budget. Bought a Prius instead :( I still kind a regret it.

I’ve said before: the thing Bangle did best was really make it obvious which ones had the M/M-sport treatments, or the big engines. They only look right with decent wheels, and the trim parts that only dorks like us really notice.
When done right, I still think the E60 was a landmark design, and only looks better with each passing year.

Yep the M & M Sport look most “right” on those. I’d think the ones I mentioned look good in general vs the E90 & E60 only certain trims are attractive and others just aren’t.
The sporty E60 trims are legit good looking. I think the LCI 550i M Sport 6MT is the sweet spot.
The E90 is pug nosed in all forms but the M3 looks good because it has an E92 front clip lol.
The idrive in all the BMWs from this era is trash of course and none are what I’d call deadass reliable.
I got a lot to say about BMW’s current lineup, but I’ll leave it at some are good, some aren’t bad, some are trash. I hate the squinty front ends on all the cars that have them, but the rest of the 8 GC & Z4 manage to look good if you can look past the squintiness. I don’t hate the gigundo grilles on the X7 or LCI G11 7. The mini-gigundo grilles on the G20 3 & LCI G30 5 are totally fine.
